An intermittent power connection is generally caused by a faulty micro-USB cable.  The micro-USB has a couple of little "tabs" that stick up to hold the plug into the socket and these wear out over time.  You can replace your SMOBOT power cord with any micro-USB cable or order a replacement from us.  This fixes this problem 99% of the time.
